We received your Christmas card yesterday and were delighted to find that Saranac’s brother (sister?) was on the cover of the LL Bean Holiday Gift Guide! When we received the catalogue we joked and bragged that it might be Sara’s sibling!
Also, my daughter called and left a message yesterday. She is looking to adopt an older golden. Do you make any of your retired dogs available for adoption?
I realized that I hadn’t sent you a testimonial for your website. So here goes:
We secretly arranged to give my husband a beautiful Goldiva Golden for his 50th birthday (April 2015) and he was absolutely delighted! Our yellow lab immediately took to her and they became instant friends.
Saranac is a beautiful dog with a happy temperament. Sara, as we call her, has excellent manners; she chews her own toys and is a wonderful companion. She enjoys going for rides, playing in the snow, and hiking. We didn’t get any snow last year, here in the Albany NY area, but this year she has had the opportunity to go outside and enjoy the snow. She runs large circles in the yard in pure joy!
When we are watching the television, she will put her head on our laps or situate her head directly under our hands to be pet. She enjoys laying near us while we sit in the living room. We typically kick off our moccasins and wicked good slippers when we put our feet on the ottoman and she snuggles up with our slippers on the floor, just like in the LL Bean ads!!
Saranac has climbed some of the highest peaks in New York: Mount Marcy and Algonquin Peak. She has also summited several mountains in the Catskills. She loves to hike and makes friends everywhere she goes!
When I picked up Saranac at the groomer she commented on how beautiful Sara is. I mentioned that she was from a championship breeder in Maine, she replied, “I can tell”.
We are delighted with our Goldiva Golden!
Sincerely,
Jim and Stefanie Graham
