(Am GCH Karagold’s “Boomer” ex Can CH Frida)
Steve and I wanted to send you an email to give you an update on our wonderful pup, Sully! He will be 6-months old in a few days, and now weighs 50lbs! He is absolutely beautiful – light, light blonde with a cute wavy coat along his back and fluff around his ears!
He has graduated from his puppy classes, and knows sit, down, touch, wait, take it, drop it, off and has amazing leash manners. We are still fine tuning come, stay, release and leave it. Over this past week, he has been a big boy and now sleeps on his dog bed in our bedroom at night instead of his crate. He is fully potty trained and almost never chews anything he isn’t supposed to. He has lost all of his puppy teeth 🙂
He loves to play with other dogs, especially at the dog park and doggy daycare, and the counselors at his daycare are in love with him. He has a little “girlfriend” Ava, she is the same age and a hound/rhodesian ridgeback mix who lives right across the hall. They even dressed as a bride and groom for halloween! We attend “Yappy hour” at our apartment complex every Wednesday night – which is a two-hour doggy play group for all of our apartment residents and their pups.
He is the sweetest, most lovable pup and we couldn’t imagine our lives without him. He loves to play, but in true Golden fashion if you have a busy day at home, he is perfectly content entertaining himself by chewing his toys or laying and taking a nap.
He has been exposed to so many new things in the city, so he is very well socialized and has no fears. He already loves to swim and is water obsessed – loves to drink water and even stick his head in the shower while it is running! He also looovvveess to dig holes haha.
I have been fortunate enough to bring him to work with me sometimes – he sleeps in my office on his dog bed with his toys while I see my patients (I am a nurse practitioner), and my coworkers love him. He is never deprived of attention! He has the perfect temperament, and I think will make a great service dog someday which is one of my goals.
Thank you again so much for breeding such amazing Golden’s, he really is everything we ever wanted. 🙂
