Although she is a Maine native, Reba now enjoys a very active house in the western suburbs of Boston. Her seemingly endless energy is well matched to her athletic owners and their sporty friends. Reba leaps to the door to warmly welcome each visitor and every family member. As seasons come and go – Reba’s adventures heighten. In the spring time and as the lakes thaw, Reba darts into the picturesque lake at Wellesley College to chase frisbees or sticks…. and she adores the cleansing baths and attention that follow! Spring also marks the arrival of lacrosse season, which gives Reba an opportunity to cheer on her brothers and meet other canine buddies. Just before summer starts, Reba is usually the center of attention on the day when students can bring their pets to the high school. She seems to almost know it marks the beginning of summer downtime with the boys – swimming, fishing and sunbathing on the porch. Fall brings with it football and lots of leaves. Reba spends hours running, jumping and hunting the wind-blown leaves. The chill of winter is made bearable by the golden glow of Reba. By her own definition, she helps us shovel the heavy snow and after hours of labor, she fades into a mighty slumber on her favorite Lovesac in front of the fireplace, with the cat by her side. Reba loves winter because the golfers cede their big course to her! No matter the season, or weather, or day of the week, Reba embraces every day with a giant smile, powerful wags, and a whole lot of love that she shares with everything she encounters. She loves all people – being with or near them, and is so easy to walk off-leash because she stays right next to me when I ask her to do so. She is our heaven.
