From Terri Barris: … Monroe probably wouldn’t have happened had it not been for Roxy, back at Mary’s home having had puppies. My house was empty and I was missing the the Roxy girl. I always had a fondness for Monroe who was independent, funny, and loved playing with the older dogs and they seemed to love her back. The more I visited Roxy, I always had to get my Monroe time in as well. I was adamant I couldn’t bring another dog home, so it was suggested to bring Monroe home while Roxy was with her puppies, take her to obedience class and get her ready for another couple.
I brought her home from Mary’s. We went to puppy obedience class (she passed) and Monroe went everywhere with me, but now it was time for her to leave. She left, I cried and was back with me in about 5 days. It’s funny how goldens worm their way into your life and heart. Monroe and Roxy are the best of friends and half sisters to boot! Hit it off from day one.
Monroe patrols the fenced in yard, loves her free runs and is laying beside me every night until it’s time for bed, then freely goes into her crate for the night. Doggy love-it’s the best!
