Kistler, Monty & Artemis are my 3 orphaned pups when mama Merlot ate a loaf of bread with plastic sleeve and metal twist tie 13 days before her due date. The metal twist tie showed up on her X-ray.  It became a terrible tragedy with 3 emergency surgeries; 9 days at Angell Memorial and the loss of 6 puppies. These 3 little miracle pups were 6.75 oz on Day 3 when they came up to me. They spent the first 21 days in an incubator while tube feeding round the clock every 2 hours. It was the hardest and most challenging litter in my 40 years of raising Goldens.
