Sandi Read, Wild Iris Farm, Bar Harbor, ME

mcduff(Am CH Striker x Marilyn)

Well, we made it home just fine although McDuff did not like his crate and howled and cried for an hour even with me petting him through the bars – finally put him on the floor between my feet and he immediately fell asleep.  Played when we got here, and some water but not interested in food.  He did poop and also vomited a few hours after we got home. He again has refusal with the crate at night but angled it so he was able to sleep just outside of it with the door open and remain confined.  No accidents but up at 4am because I had to get up which woke him.  He seems very happy and loves playing and has been “asking” to go outside where he promptly pees.  Still no interest in food however and he wants to cuddle before finally settling down to nap – think he must really miss his siblings.  Right now he is cuddle up with my hot water bottle that has a furry, doggie cover.

The meeting was a success and everyone one got to sniff each other.  Thanks for the info!  Puppy is doing much better today – not eating wet food but munching on dry kibble.  No more vomiting and stools are good. He is such a happy puppy!
