We first became aware of Goldiva Goldens through the Golden Retriever Forum. At the time my husband and I were finally ready to have a dog of our own, and after reading up on the Golden Retriever breed, decided to get one and decided to research breeders.
I knew that this breed is known to have a higher risk of certain conditions, and to lessen those risks, I would need to find a not only reliable breeder, but one that is honest and cares for the breed and its future, which led me to Goldiva Goldens/Goldiva Goldens and Gardens with Mary and Lauren.
We got Mochi from Goldiva Goldens and Gardens through Lauren. Not only has he grown up to be a handsome boy, he’s so goofy and gentle at the same time. He can spend hours on end playing fetch with any size/shape balls, but also cuddle and fall asleep with his stuffed toy in his mouth. He truly has the most patience when it comes to his baby sister, Kiwi.
We got Kiwi from Goldiva Goldens through Mary. At 24 weeks, Kiwi’s personality is truly developing and we can tell she’ll be a cuddly lap dog. She is also learning to rule over her big brother and loves to wrestle with him over a particular toy or antler.
They are both smart and have excelled in their respective training classes. Mochi even passed his CGC at just a little bit over a year old.
The process was relatively easy for both pups. We went to visit them numerous times throughout their first few weeks which was awesome. We even got to meet the moms’ as they stay with the puppies until they go home at 8 weeks.
Mary has truly became a great resource when it comes to the pups. We have communicated numerous times throughout the process, and even now that we have had Kiwi home for a few months she still serves we still communicate. She is very quick at responding to inquiries, and will get back to you even if she doesn’t have an answer right away.
